Organize a mixed electronics order for El Salvador

When an order combines computers, televisions and cameras, prepare each model as a separate line. This gives sales a clear sourcing list and gives your customs representative product-level information to review before shipment.

Create one line for each configuration
List the manufacturer part number, description and quantity for each item. Keep different laptop configurations and camera bundles on separate lines. For a bundle, specify the included lens, accessories and their quantities so a replacement offer can be compared correctly.
Review classification through the DGA
El Salvador’s DGA explains that the SAC identifies tariff classifications and the corresponding DAI. Its guidance also directs buyers to product-specific permit information. Have your customs representative review each type of merchandise using its technical description; a retail category name is not a customs classification.
Keep origin and shipment details separate
Ask for product origin information and tell sales the planned destination and freight handoff. Do not treat the country of shipment as proof of origin. If requesting preferential tariff treatment, review the applicable origin documentation with your customs representative before making a landed-cost calculation.

What should I check before accepting a mixed-order quote?

Match each quoted SKU and quantity against your request. Mark any proposed substitute explicitly and confirm whether items will be handed over together or separately. For TVs, ask for packed dimensions and gross weight so your freight provider can assess space and handling.
